With profound sadness we announce the passing of Sandra Anne Cerrito, our loving and devoted wife, mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on February 20, 2021.
Sandra was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on August 20, 1957, to Stuart Morris and Cathrine Mckinnon. She leaves behind the love of her life of 22 years Marie Cerrito, her loving children Jeffery, Tammy Filipe; and Lynne, Michael Teixeira. As well as, the light of her life her cherished granddaughters Taylor Filipe of Texas, Sophia & Madeline Teixeira of Pawtucket, RI as well as, her sister Cynthia Machowski, her nieces Kristen Brouillette and Cathrine Machowski, and nephew Brad Machowski of South Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Sandi was a wonderful and compassionate woman, she worked as a radiographer both in diagnostic imaging as well in vascular intervention for over 30 years. She also spent many years as a volunteer firefighter for the town of Cumberland, RI. Her tireless drive to help others was evident in everything she did. She loved traveling, hiking, running 5k’s, or spending time with family and friends at the beach. Sandi had an unquenchable love for life! We all can share a story or two about how she made us laugh! Sandi will always be remembered by her incredible big heart and joyful spirit. She was deeply loved by all of her family and friends.
Ann says

It’s really hard to describe someone as wonderful as she is. She just had an uncanny ability to make you feel welcomed and loved.
The memories that keep popping into my head are her and I poking fun of my mom during the holidays. It was normally when my mom was doing something silly and asking “is it just me?” Sandi and I would say “No” and nod yes when my mom wasn’t looking.
Another memory is, my now husband and I were going on our first cruise together and had to get up at a ungodly hour of 3 AM, she didn’t hesitate to volunteer and bring us to the airport.
She’s going to be missed so badly.

I’ll always remember Sandi. She was at one point my closest buddy. We had such fun laughing and working together. Taken too soon.
Taylor Filipe says
She’s been a constant in my life since day one, and even before that. A positive influence, a bright smile on rainy days, a call to fun and new activities. It’s gonna be hard to move on without her, but we’re rich with memories of who she was. I’ll never forget the fun we had together, and how much she meant to me.
The world and everyone who knew her might have lost an angel, but the sky gained a bright and beautiful new star.

I can not being to put into words the loss of you in my life.
You were a near dear friend, the BEST coworker and a long time mentor of mine.
We made the BEST team that Doctors were happy to work with on call! We went together like “Peas & Carrots”, our wonderful Vascular surgeon we loved to torment = many laughs, smiles.. we had the best cases. You taught me EVERYTHING I knew about what it takes to be a Great Tech., Scrubbing in on all endovascular surgical cases. Your words “Be Prepared”. “Did you pull that?” “Expected the worst & have what you need, ready” “Think of the case at hand, have it all available for every possible outcome & scenario”. “Know how the Dr is going in, access, supplies, conclusion”
You were a BOTTOMLESS wealth of knowledge, decades of experience.
I have been so very very blessed to have known you throughout my career (18 of my 25).
I am for ever grateful for all your time, patience and dedication in helping me study and pass my (VI) boards.
You were a pillar of strength, a force to be recond with.
You were selfless in all that you did, for those you loved & cared for.
I will NEVER look at the color or orange again, and not think of you, my friend!
Until we meet again my friend ❣
I love and miss you terribly!
